Starting a business in Maricopa, Arizona

The City of Maricopa (in Pinal County, not to be confused with Maricopa County) stopped requiring general business licenses on January 1, 2019; only regulated businesses such as pawnbrokers, tobacco retailers and massage establishments need a $50 annual city license. Taxable businesses add Maricopa (code MP) to their ADOR TPT license. Home businesses need a home occupation permit, food trucks need a city mobile vendor permit, and food businesses are permitted by Pinal County Environmental Health.
